The Heart- Healthy Spine 

Even though we are dealing now with a more sophisticated patient population, most people do not recognize there is a connection between the spine and the heart.
The natural pacemaker, the sino-atrial node keeps the heart at a steady rhythm.
The sympathetic nerves cause the heart to speed up and the parasympathetic nerves slow the heart down. The sympathetic nerves originate from the thoracic spine (upper back) and the parasympathetic nerves from the brain to the neck. A balanced spine provides that these nerves function correctly.

Kiro for Kids: Thailand 

Thanks to an innovative humanitarian project called Kiro for Kids, suffering children in Northern Thailand are receiving the gift of chiropractic. Some of the children helped are orphans, autistic children and those with tuberculosis. They have been helping in other ways like building schools and health care centers.

Minnesota Viking Visits Chiro School 

Minnesota Vikings fullback Tony Richardson, accompanied by his chiropractor, Dr. Howard Fidler, visited the Northwestern Health Sciences University in October to speak to the student body about the value of chiropractic for professional athletes.
Richardson has been a proponent of chiropractic ever since his introduction to the profession by now-retired Emmitt Smith who hold the National Football League record for career rushing yards. Impressed with the success and longevity of Smith's career, Richardson decided to try chiropractic.
