Tourette's Syndrome and Chiropractic
Came across an interesting article in Chiropractic Products magazine. The article explained how one of the doctors noticed significant misalignment of the top two bones in the neck in five of his patients who had Tourette's syndrome. Although he said that he did not know if he could help them, through chiropractic adjustments four enjoyed complete cessation of symptoms and another one only 40% improvement.
He thought perhaps vertebral subluxation could exert slight pressure, irritation, or distortion on nerve fibers that, over time, results in a diffuse hyperspasticity.
